hfss boundary's
you need to determine if it is odd symetric or even symmetric, then put either electric or magnetic according to the required boundary conditions at the symmetry boundaries. I think you will find an example about that in the HFSS manua
it can be done with magnetic wall or electric wall BC i think...just look for these terms in manual or help
hi this might be worth while to check it out
Select the face and use the right-click menu to assign the desired boundary condition. You can use symmetry boundaries when the problem exhibits either geometrical or field symmetry.
Use a Perfect H symmetry plane when the E-field is tangential to the boundary, such as when cutting through the center of the "a" dimension (width) of a rectangular waveguide. Use a Perfect E symmetry plane when the E-field is normal to the boundary, such as when cutting through the center of the "b" dimension (height) of a rectangular waveguide.
Remember that impedance multipliers are needed when using symmetry planes. The value is 0.5 for Perfect H and 2.0 for Perfect E.
