Hi,
Does a de-emphasis really needed for the reciever? (I'm currently building a reciever)
My transmitter already have a pre-emphasis circuit.
If so, where can i find a de-emphasis circuit?
Thanks
Charis

If transmitter has pre-emphasis, yes, you need de-emphasis at the receiving side, of course if you want audio to sound properly. Circuit itself should be easily found via google, I have any schematic at the disposal righ now at 2 o'clock a.m. local time
Low pass RC circuit can be used as de-emphasis circuit.
If the equalization in the transmitter is adaptive, based on the channel, then the receiver need not have equalization. Only if the transmitter doesn't have adaptive equalization the receiver needs equalization.
