Need help with high gain antenna element design

I want to design a planner array antenna in 2.2m length with the gain of approximately 25db and working in L-band with the bandwidth of approximately 20%(1.1-1.3 GHz),my first choice was dipole antenna,24 landa/2 dipole antenna but I wonder if I could replace a better performance element which could satisfied my conditions.I will be thankful if anybody could help
