If you mean on TV, todays this is discutabile, because we have TV in mobile devices and other such devices. CRT TVs can work on 12V, of course inside device is voltage inverter to get HV for cathode tube. TFT, LCD todays can work from batteries, usually lithium or car lead acid. Standard home TV works on 220V or 110V depends from country mains standard.
