Hello I have found these mixer designs and they connect their ports differently. They interchange their IF and LO ports.
Can they be interchanged, and which is the best way to connect it?
Also, can they interchange the grounds (connect the groung to the other wire) on each port, or how they should be connected?

Just check the datasheet, if in the freq band, interchange IF and LO should be no problem.
These are both handmade. The second one is from a handmade spectrum analyzer.
So you say these IF/LO ports can be interchanged?
What about the ground pins interchange?
In dual-balanced mixers all ports are interchangeable, and also at each port the grounds are interchangeable.

- Adding ports to know resistance at some point in 2-patch antenna
- [CST DS] Six ports Combination Using Couplers
- Cascading networks with >2 ports
- How many ports (min and max) ports a SIW antenna can have ? and why?
- Interdigital lines As input or output ports
