Extracting S parameters from RLCG values
Good day to you all.
Please can anyone give me hints on how one can obtain S parameters from RLCG values.
Thanks
RLCG parameters are defined for a homogeneous line segment. I would first calculate the line parameters (line impedance and effective epsilon) from the RLCG parameters, and then calculate the S-parameters from there.
Here is some math that can help you, Equation Set 2 and below:

Thanks for your answer. But what i want is ability to obtain S11 ,S21 from the RLCG
I understand that you have RLCG and want the S-parameters.
In the link that I have you, you can find the math that relates RCLG and gamma and S-parameters.
Take RLCG, use quations 5 and 6 and use these values in equation 2, then you have the S-parameters.
Thanks i now understand you,but one more question how do i use equation 2 to get S11,S21
?
(S) in Equation 2 is the S-matrix
