about FM Frequency Deviation

hello,

I am working on FM modulation, carrier is 500MHz, modulation signal Fm is 50Khz, amplitude is 0dBm. how can i measure the frequency deviation in spectrum analyzer.

Please explain the measurement of frequency deviation in spectrum analyzer

You should center your spectrum analyzer at 500 MHz. You will see discrete sidebands spaced +/- N * 50 KHz. To figure out the deviation, you should vary the modulating voltage level and use the first bessel null measurement.
