I am trying to design a miniature antenna array to attach to a PCB that will receive the new HDTV signal known as ATSC signal. The array will need to individually tune each antenna to the different channels (NBC, CBS, PBS, ABC etc). I need each antenna to work independently from each other and assignable to a networked IP. What kind of antenna would I use? a Dipole, a bowtie, both? To receive the individual channels should it be directional or multi-directional, or omnidirectional? Is there a material that is superior to use to build the individual antenna?
You do not indicate what frequency band is used. A wideband antenna is better as the tuning and selectivity is done in the HDTV tuner.
