Can anyone clearly explain abt voltage swing? now i designing mixer. in order avoid clip i need to focus on voltage swing. eventhough i read many material i cant understand the real concept. can anyone give small example in mixer so i can understand.
thank you
thank you
'Voltage swing' is a measure of difference between highest voltage and lowest voltage. There's no complicated 'concept' involved here....
Swing is the excursion a volt level makes up or down. Often it has to do with a particular range, or a limit. Example, 'The output swings rail-to-rail.'
Although swing suggests amplitude, it does not always have to do with AC waveforms.
In regard to mixing signals, you may need to make sure that the sum never exceeds (swings above or below) a certain volt level. It may be necessary to attenuate one or more of the incoming signals.
