Infrared related project help?

Dear,

I want to make a project using Infrared LEDs.
The project working phenomenon is;
When six yarns are passing between six transmitters and six receivers the plant doesn't perform any action and when any of the yarn is missing or is less than 6 the plant stops working....

Kindly, if anyone could suggest me the schematics and ideas..

you got to 'OR' the sensor o/ps . its pretty simple.
