Converting S-parameters to Impedance
I've created an Inductor in a simulation software and need the inductance. I can run a simulation to obtain graphs of S(1,1) , S(1,2) , S(2,1) , S(2,2), Z0, and some other values.
How can I determine the impedance of the inductor at a certain frequency in order to find inductance?
Thanks.

Thanks alot!
It's actually a differential inductor I've created as well.
I have a few questions about the equations.
Where does R0 = 50 come from? Is that a preset value?
You have freq = xval(s11). What is this function? Is this just the frequency that these values are taken at?
Lastly, are the S values complex numbers with the magnitude and phase? Or just the magnitude? I assume Sdiff and Zdiff are complex as well.
Thanks.
gee, Norton blocked a couple malicious file actions from that website! do not click
It is a characteristic impedance for S-parameter, that is, port impedance.
What value did you specify as port impedance for evaluation S-parameters ?

Of course, complex numbers.
They are, of course, complex numbers.
