hii... i read the posts on theory about working of antenna....but i'd like to know...how this antenna traps the radio waves that is to b converted to electricity!
Radio waves are electromagnetic waves. The waves interact with the electrons in the antenna pushing and pulling them like a boat on ocean is moved up and down by water waves.
Take a look at http://www.antenna-theory.com/basics...nasradiate.php for a short explanation on how electromagnetic waves are generated from current carrying wires.
Combine the above with the idea that the solutions to Maxwell's equations are time reversible.
the electrons dance along the antenna wires, like little pixies.
If using dance analogy it's more like a mosh pit. The energy gets transferred much faster than the electrons move themselves.
