How to extract the input impedance of my circuit in ADS
Could you suggest an easy way to get a matching network in ADS ?
I know how to use the Smith chart utility included in ADS where you give your input and load impedances and then graphically match, but my problem is that do not know how to extract the input impedance of my circuit.
Thanks!
simply , use Sparamter simulation engine in ADS , with it u can get the input impedance of the amp , by ploting S11 on smith chart , and then with the marker go to the frequency u wnat to measure the input impedance in
then take the impedance , and open the smith chart utility in ADS , and then make the load impedance is ur input impedance , then the source is 50 Ohm
and begin to match using L C network , donot forget in smith chart utility to define the frequency to get the correct values of L C
khouly
of course you can use the Goal to define the parameter that you interest,or you the tune tool to get the result.
Hi
Zin=(1+S11)/(1-S11)*Zref
Then you can calculate LC matching for single freq or narrow band case
if i want wideband matching i can not use ads?
