Long range signal amplifier

hello every one, i am glad to join this group i have started my project long range signal amplifier.in which i have to transmit pulse signal of any low frequency to a distance at least 5 km(wireless).for transmission medium i will use carrier frequency of 2.4 ghz. my question is to transmit a low frequency pulses with carrier frequency of 2.4 GHZ what should i use between modulator and mixer ? what is the difference between mixer and modulator ? what is best and easy for my application that is defined above.

Try to indicate more detailed description. So far your project does not make any sense.
You apparently do not know the difference between a mixer and a modulator. Make sure to learn basics, otherwise it will be difficult for you to learn how communication systems wrk.

Also, you may want to check with your local RF spectrum authorities, in whatever country you are in, to find out what the maximum ERP (EIRP)
Effective Radiated Power you are allowed
