Clarification about measuring power consumption in LNA circuit.

I used single pHEMT transistor to design my LNA, and set Vds = 3 V,and Ids = 60 mA. I have got the power consumption as Pdc = Vds * Ids = 3 V * 60 mA = 180 mW. I used the single supply voltage as Vdd = 3 Volts.
I used the same three pHEMT transistors for design of my LNA. I set the each transistors biasing as Vds = 2 V, and Ids = 15 mA. When I measure the total power consumption, I have got as Pdc = Vds * Ids = 4 v * 40 mA =160 mA. I used the single supply DC voltage as Vdd = 4 V. When I calculate single transistor power consumption Pdc = Vds * Ids = 2 V * 15 mA = 30 mWatts.
When I observed the many IEEE transactions MTT paper, there they used 8 transistors or 10 transistor, they measured power consumption as 3 mW or 5 mW or even 10 μW.
I am getting confusion, how to measure the power consumption of our designed LNA. What is the correct way of measuring power consumption of the LNA.
Can you suggest me.
