Parabaloid Eminating Unidirectionally Dimension

Its a real pain to maintain parabaloidal reflector at proper proportions and at the same time providing proper flare. I have found flaring easier than and reflector cumbersome perhaps there is a cheat way to set a flare up to have a reflector (parabaloidal) reflect low frequencies despite its inadequate dimension?
