Need help for plotting antenna gain vs frequency in HFSSv9

Hi all,

Would anyone tell me how to plot antenna gain against frequency in HFSSv9? I already plotted the antenna gain using Create Report> Far fields:Rectangular plot, then setup primary sweeps to be Freq and Phi=0, Theta=0. However, I find that after close the project, HFSS need to calculate it again to plot the gain. What can i do to solve this problem?

There's something I don't catch: you managed to plot the gain, and you want to know how doing it vs frequency? Or you would like to know how solving the results on HFSS?

# first, you can plot a gain vs frequency by selecting the "sweep" design in the result interface (instead of "setup1", for example). Thus, the trace selection interface will allow you to select the frequency variable.

# secondly (and unfortunately), HFSS 9 will re-do all the calculus for each solution after you close the project (even if the solution's parameter you need is specified in the "results" block). The only advice I can give you is to solve the plot ("copy to clipboard" -> paint or anything else), the data tables ("export to file" -> excel for example), or to export the GIF file for animations, when you calculated it. If not, you'll have to do it again each time you need it...
