Simulating on remote computer in HFSS 9.0
However, after doing so, it doesn't really work, returning an error...
Does the target machine need to have HFSS installed? To have it running? Any other precautions???
Thanks,
/Dan
Anybody have a solution to this problem yet? THanks a lot,

I some body has some documentaction on how this is done
Please post it

Do u mean to pass control of mouse and screen of H/F/S/S over to a user on a remote ip? If you watch the online workshop on a/n/s/o/f/t website for D/e/s/i/g/n/e/r, they did attempt to do that but didn't quite work out. So I guess the remote computer must have H/F/S/S installed.
I think it makes use of a network feature on WinXP (remote assistance) and you have to enable that feature (not installed by default) for it to work.
For the moment, that is all I can tell.

No, no, no guys...
In HFSS 9, one of the options specifies whether you want to run the analysis on a remote computer. For example to use the remote processor's computing power and then get the results displayed on the originating computer.
The way this is useful is if you have more than one machine in the house/etc. and you can run the simulations on various computers all from one terminal.
However, I've been unable to do that due to various errors invoked by HFSS when running the remote simulation. That's why I was wondering if there are some guidelines on how to run the simulations remotely.
Thanks,
/Dan
