ansoft designer tuning option
some days ago I downloaded the SV (student version) of ansoft designer. I am trying to use the tuning option which was also available with the SV of Harmonica, but I am unable to find the way to do it.
any help?
Hellp dowjones, the tunong option need a tuning variable to be set.
You have to define a tuning variable and after start the tuning wizard.
Howewer you can see that there are different software, like HFSS, in which this function is good implemented and works fine.
In every case, this function enable you to define the goals for your project. It's very similar to the Opticometrics tool but the only difference is that The Tuning Process end when your simulation reach the goals imposed by the user.
I think that opticometrics is a better way to understand what are the problems and find the solution during a design process.
That's all i can know about that.

Hello again. I've read the readme.txt file of the software which says literally:
Ansoft Designer SV OVERVIEW
---------------------------
Ansoft Designer SV is provided free of charge to students and others in
industry who need industrial strength software but do who do not need
the full feature set of Ansoft Designer.
No licenses are required to run Ansoft Designer SV but you must agree
to the terms listed in the license agreement.
Ansoft Designer SV uses the same computational algorithms as the
commercial version of Ansoft Designer but has the following limitations:
o Only linear circuit simulation is supported in Ansoft Designer SV.
You cannot simulate non-linear devices.
o Optimization, tuning and parametric sweeps have been disabled.
o Import and export of circuit physical layout has been disabled.
o System and planar EM stand-alone simulation and co-simulation options
have been disabled. Solver-on-demand (tm) has been disabled.
o The on-line documentation for Ansoft Designer SV is identical to the
documentation for the full version and may describe features that are
not available in the Student Version.
Therefore, my question was already answered in the documentation
