em resistor awr
Thanks
Hi , kent81
if you want to model a resistance in MWO , one way is that , you draw a rectangle in EM environment and right click on it and follow >Edit shape Props > Conductor Matrial > New Matrial and there you can assign resistance to your sheet.
I attached the related section of MWO's help for more information.
I hope it'll be helpful
If you have the AWR EM simulator, that includes the ability to link to Sonnet. You can even use the free SonnetLite (www.sonnetsoftware.com) with the AWR interface. It is only limited in problem size, there is no time-out. When you bring up the SonnetLite task bar, click on Manuals, Examples, RES400 or RES500 for a worked out resistor example. The files can be loaded into Sonnet with a single click.
It will take about 5 minutes to install SonnetLite. With another 5 minutes, you can run the example. Follow the tuturial and you will be almost an expert in about 45 minutes. (I work for Sonnet.)
BTW, it is my opinion that cross-vendor compatibility like this is now absolutely critical to the commercial success of framework vendors in the microwave field, even when there is some degree of competition between the vendors. Sonnet has been actively and strongly supported by AWR, Agilent, Eagleware, and Cadence in developing very advanced interfaces to the respective frameworks.
