Need knowledge as to find the phase of the propagating wave

Hiiiiiii there,

I have started to work with phase shifters in microstrip antennas, I just wanted to know How we can find out the outcoming waves phase in order to say the difference between the different ports in our structure, or even if we do not have any port, How can we find the phase of the wave entering the P@tch of the antenna? If anyone can help me out in this, Also I have a problem interpreting the Radiation pattern plot, can't I normalize it, or say start it from zero instead of some value which is the middle value of the field vector, if someone can help me,
