inductive coupling communication

Hi,
I am trying to transfer data through inductive copupling at 12 Mhz.
My transciver generates a 12 Mhz sine wave and it leads to creation of magnetic field.
my other transmitter is a LC circuit tuned at 12 Mhz and data is transferred by switchin on and off a transistor across the LC which opens and shorts this LC loop.

But i am not actually able to succeed in this.
Can u please suggest some book/material where i can learn about it more.
Or can you suggest how exactly the data can be retrieved at first transciver using resonance phenomena or some other mechanism.
