Problem matching the antenna.
I'm designing a 4 element linear microstrip p@tch antenna array, which is to be operated at 10GHz, I'm using 50-35-50ohms corporate feed for the antenna, my problem is that my antenna is resonating at 8.6GHz not 10GHz, also that the radiation pattern is end fire rather than broadside, so I was trying until now, playing with the inset lengths, feeding line lengths, and also p@tches length to adjust the frequency, but to no use, also my radiation pattern is the same, I've tried everything for matching with providing curves, V cuts etc to my feedline but no improvement, I'm struggling, if anyone can tell me some suggestion and some way how I can improve my radiation pattern and my frequency back to 10GHz, I would appreciate, I'm using HFSS v9.0 for the simulation,
Thanx in advance.
ciao.
Hi !
Regarding the resonant frequency, is your single element resonates at 10 GHz ? If not, what about scaling down the whole structure by the factor of 8.6/10 ?

Hello :
You should explain more about your radiation box . If your radiation box is not in vertical direction you should manipulish it . I mean in such stactures your radiation box must be rectangular and it's bottom surface must be very close to your ground plane and it's top surface must be 4times far from the ground plane . also it is better that the sides surfaces chose close to the ground plane sides.
good luck
hi ,i also design a array of 4 element by quasi yagi, could u pls tell me ur substrate par. i also operae at x band i couls help u
