Hi, I met a question , but I don't know how to answer.
Someone in my group uses cavity method to analyze a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna, and suppose all boundary surface as pefect magnetic boundary ( PMB) except for a surface on the ground plane. But it seems it is impossible to get impedance distribution vs frequency but only radiation patterns if this PMB is used. Is it true ? for excitation, a coaxial is used.

To get impedance distribution is generally possible but it's very tricky because of following..
You need to know accurate values of radiation Q for each mode which appears in modal sum (or respective in
