How to improve simulation and make it to converge in HFSS
I have recently conducted a series of simulations in HFSS to have backward wave characteristics of Jerusalem Cross FSS layer. But unfortunately I can not have any converged results even if I have logically true results.
My configuration is as follows:
Sweep: 0.2GHz to 27GHz with 0.2GHz
Solution Freq: 27 GHz
Maximum # of passes: 10
Maximum delta per pass: 0.002
Do Lambda Refinement: Checked Target: 0.3333
Refinement Per Pass 20%
Minimum # of passes: 10
Minimum # of converged passes: 1
It seems like there is not even one converged pass!
[/b]
Try to set:
Maximum delta per pass: 0.02;
Refinement Per Pass 30%;
Do Lambda Refinement: Checked Target: 0.1.
I think you can try manual mesh to improve the speed of convergence.
How to adjust meshing for my purpose, I cant get it very much?
Thanks borich but your configuration is also "NOT CONVERGED!"
I am tired of this, meshing manually can really help?
Hi,
1- I have the same problem when analysing microstrip p@tches. the reason of my problem was that because of radiation boundary condition the resaults converge very late (after 20 passes), but i had sett maximum of passes less than ten.
so I propose
change maximum of passes higher that 20, max delta per passe about 0.03 and refinement per passes about 10%.
2- in this condition if again solution don't convege, please send us result of "delta per pass" for all passes.
hope to sacceed.
Thanks borich but your configuration is also "NOT CONVERGED!"
