Interested in Practical Transofrmer Design Choke Design Information.
Thanks

What information do you need? Could you elobarate?
I am specifically interested in
1. How to decide coil
2. How to select Core.
3. Bobin Diameter Calculation. etc
Hello
Never had the chance to work with bobbin type cores, so far. For toroidal cores-the normal toroidal formula for inductance would give you the first cut values. But with permeability tolerance that wouldnt be a great idea. So I would measure and check for sure.
If I am to decide on the core, no of turns and wire dia, I would check on the size available on the board, permeability of core, Q of the inductor desired and other manufacturability concerns.
While searching some info, I found some material in the one of the good books I ve had the chance to see-"The design of Impedance-Matching Networks for RF and Microwave Amplifiers" by Peiter L.D. Abrie (Artech House).
Another book that might help, would be "Secrets of RF circuit design-Joseph Carr (Mcgraw-Hill).
Hope this was useful.
thanx
Ranjan Nandi,
For analytical and EM simulations try Ansoft Maxwell 3D + Ansoft RMxprt package.

I'm interested in
1. How to calculate Coil Turns.
2. How to Select SWG ( Wire Guage )
3. Ferrite / CRGO ( E-I ) Core selection.
Finally how to design transformer and Inductors.
Thx
