microstrip filter by H F S S using DEFECTED GROUND STRUCTUR

i want it to have a band stop at 12GHz. i dont know the dimensions of my DUMBBELL shaped DGS.

can you say how to design it?

the dumble is equivalent to an LC circuit, the area of the dumble is proportional to the inductance and the capacitance is inversly proportional to the width of the connecting slot and directly proportional to the length. So, you may make an initial dumble shape, then adjuct its center frequency using the above relations. I don't think you will find design tables for this, since the L and C depend only on the substrate permittivity and thickness.
