How to see the change in direction of electric field by changing the port excitation?

Hi all,
im working in the design of diamond shape waveguide. i want to know wht does the define line specifies in waveport assignment?but as i found,there is no change in my radiation pattern and s11 if i change the direction of this line while drawing. but i want to see the electric field direction based on the direction of excitation of my port. how to see the change in direction of electric field by changing the port excitation direction in HFSS?please do suggest me. theoretically,the direction of electric field changes if we change the direction of excitation for a rectangular waveguide..do help me pls...

the voltage/e-field calibration line sets the direction of the electric field integration line. If you have multiple ports in a problem and you don't specify the calibration lines the same for each port, then there could be an additional 180 degrees of phase difference between the port S-parameters.

The antenna pattern and return loss should not change when the direction of the calibration line is reversed, if the same mode is set up in the waveguide. You should view the fields on the port face to make certain that the mode that is launched is what you expected.
