   　Abstract—Thispaperpresentsasimpletwo-branchtransmit
　　diversityscheme.Usingtwotransmitantennasandone
　　receiveantennatheschemeprovidesthesamediversityorder
　　asmaximal-ratioreceivercombining(MRRC)withonetransmit
　　antenna,andtworeceiveantennas.Itisalsoshownthatthe
　　schememayeasilybegeneralizedtotwotransmitantennasand
　　Mreceiveantennastoprovideadiversityorderof2M.The
　　newschemedoesnotrequireanybandwidthexpansionany
　　feedbackfromthereceivertothetransmitteranditscomputation
　　complexityissimilartoMRRC.
