serial debug

Hi, is there a way to get out of the USB some debugging (serial info fROM the kernel) at the boot?

I have looked at the MT6735 reference schematic, the UART port #0 is connected to an internal connector so it's not accessible from outside. Then I guess it depends on the implementation of the phone producer. I was wondering if there is same standard solution common among all the MTK based phones
