SCOPE
In the Ericsson Production Test Development (PTD) department in Nanjing, production test systems are being researched, developed, verified and maintained, for Printed Board Assemblies, Radio and Digital Modules, and complete end-products like Radio Base Stations for the telecom standards GSM, WCDMA and TD-SCDMA.for Internet backbone equipment,for fiber communication transportation and access equipment.
A production test system is used at the end of a production line in a factory. It is NOT developed in order to verify a product's performance, but it is developed in order to find the problems, the faults, that can occur during the production process of a product in the factory.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The main task of a PTD engineer is to work in, and contribute to, the projects ongoing in the PTD department. This work must be performed in close cooperation with members of Ericsson R&D product development groups inside and outside China, with members of the Ericsson production center in China, as well as with members of Ericsson production test development groups outside China.
We are looking for engineers with a general digital and analog electronics background, who can design, implement, verify and maintain the production test cases related to the digital and analog functions in a product, also called the "Device Under Test" (DUT). This DUT, for instance an TD-SDMA Radio Module, or a 10Gbps network card, is produced in the Ericsson factory, in numbers of several hundreds to several 100.000 units per year.
You will cooperate closely with SW, RF, Digital and Mechanical engineers, together you will design, implement, verify and maintain the complete production test sytem for one product.
Also, you will cooperate closely with the production engineers in the factory, providing support to the production team that is responsible for the introduction of a new product into the factory.
Several digital & analog interface functions that can exist inside a production test system, are to be designed, implemented (e.g. using PCB layout), and verified, to enable the correct communication between the DUT, the measurement equipment, and the test system controller PC.
Additionally, you will design, implement and maintain the verification environment that you will need to verify your test implementation.
Part of the job will be to drive and control sub-contractors, who will perform (parts of) the implementation work.
Qualifications
• University degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, etc.
• Good knowledge of Wireless Communication systems (GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, WIMAX, etc), or
• Good knowledge of Ethernet/IP network systems(ITOIP,ETH switch,etc) or
• Good knowledge of Optical communication (SDH,DWDM,GPON,EPON,MSTP.etc)
• Excellent knowledge of Digital & Analog Design
• > 3yrs of experience with Analog, Digital, and Power Circuitry design
• Be familiar with electrical components, communication cables, connectors, etc.
• Experience with EMC/LVD/MD is a plus
• Experience with Boundary Scan is a plus
• Experience with production test development is a plus
• Experience with PCB layout work and common layout tools (Mentor Graphics) is a plus
