Depending. If you get familiar with one of them already. No need to change to another. Both can do the job.
However, my personal point of view, I choose Matlab all the times.

I think itlargely depedends your application. Both of the software are the tool for our design, we must realize that software and simulation tool are used to verify our design. Throught this we can know whether or not the design is the ultimate idea or whether it is the requirement.

MATLAB-系统建模(ADC, PLL, RF System)
verilogA-表征数字电路的行为级模型，用于很多混合信号电路

如果做模拟电路，这两个都用不着。hspice能解决一切问题。
