I'm a newer to HFSS and some problem confused me!
You know, in ADS, if we want do S-para simulation, two ports with inner impedance are needed. IF the impedance is zero, you simmulation is wrong. So at most time, 50Ω is specified.
While for HFSS simulation, there is no this option. We just need to setup the excitation ports, or further we need to choose if we want the S_para to be normallized to 50Ω.
There is a problem. if i don't choose to normallize, the S_para is what? is it the intrinsic S_para of 2-port network? Can you explain the mechanism of this kind simulation?

为了仿真与测量结果相吻合,所以要设一个特性阻抗(一般为50欧姆),因为测量仪器系统内部一般默认50欧姆的特性阻抗,可以把测量仪器想象成一个传输线。
HFSS默认是针对50 ohm归一化计算S参数的,如果你需要针对其他端口阻抗值归一化,那么需要手动设定。
