Sr. Wireless System Engineer
Location: SH
Report to: Hiring mgr. base in U.S.
Job Summary:
The Sr. Wireless system Engineer will be responsible for manufacturing Apple wireless products and integrating in Apple Mac systems. He/she will work in an engineering technology group on wireless communications products as well as the integration of wireless technology within Apple products. He/she will work proactively with other cross-functional engineering groups such as system engineering, operation, program managers, antenna design engineers, diagnostic tool team and all of the computer system project teams.
Qualification:
Familiar with RF fundamentals and RF test equipments (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator), hands on for wireless system validation process. Familiar with PC and network architecture
Design, manufacturing qualification expertise with IEEE 802.11 products
Have exposed to the area such as : wireless chip/board design, diagnostic tool development/support, system debug, validation and testing
Knowledge about Bluetooth, 3G, UWB, WiMAX, GPS, Mobile TV and similar wireless technologies and/or experience with wireless module integration into PC system or consumer products is a strong plus, knowledge of antenna is also a strong plus
The system integration issues include but not limited: radio coexistence, platform noise measurement, root cause analysis and mitigation solution, module and system power consumption and thermal control, diagnostic tool development and integration
Excellent verbal and written skills, both in Chinese and English
Strong coordination skills, passion for the work and self-driven, flexible to work from home or in vendors' site.
Additionally, the engineer must be able to interact closely with engineering development and manufacturing partners. International and domestic travel is likely.
A qualified candidate must have a RF, digital communication, BSEE or MSEE with at least 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Must be an excellent communicator with a successful track record of delivering highly innovative communications products. Should be well organized and have the ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.
