SUMMARY

Memberof the applications engineering team providing applications engineering inShenzhen supporting the Timing Business Unit’s Asian customers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides technical assistance tocustomers (e.g., assisting a customer in designing and programming parts)

• Designs and debugs demonstration andevaluation boards

• Designs interface examples of how ourproducts connect in various systems

• Actively works with customers ondesign activities

• Participates in design validation

• Developing professional expertise,applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

• Works on problems of moderate scopewhere analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determineappropriate action. Has internal and some external contacts

• Normally receives generalinstructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments

• Other duties as required

• Travels if necessary to support Tier1 customers and reference design partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE

• A technology-related bachelor'sdegree or equivalent training with 5 years of related experience

  
  

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Strong knowledge of engineeringfundamentals and methodologies

• Schematic capture and PCB designskills

• Familiarity with circuit-levelsimulation tools

• Knowledge of proper and effective useof lab test equipment

• Knowledge of software programmingtools or soldering and rework tools

• General analog and digital circuitanalysis skills

• EVB or software design skills

• System analysis skills

• Ability to troubleshoot and debugsystems, circuits, and devices

• Basic customer interface skills

• Technical documentation authoring andediting skills

• Excellent written and verbalpresentation skills

• Familiarity with quality proceduresand documentation

• Proficiency with MS Office orequivalent

• Fluent in both Mandarin and English(Good or High TOEFL levels)

  
  

DESIRABLE

• Design or test and measurementengineering experience in clocks or timing (time and frequency domain)

• Experience in products designsincluding telecommunication (WDM, PON, gateway, router), data center (server,storage, router, and switch), wireless infrastructure (base station, mobilecore).

• working experience with a US orInternational organization is a plus
